Believe it or not, Casio’s Edifice line is already 20 years old and to celebrate, the Japanese watchmaker has released a limited edition watch dressed in Honda’s colours and logos. The watch was developed with the Scuderia AlphaTauri Formula One Racing team.
The new watch, codenamed ECB-10HR, is based on the ECB-10. Black and red, with elements of gold, are the colours chosen to dress up the watch. As with racing-based timepieces, the Casio’s black dial and case are made from carbon material. The red band is cut from real leather. Red is also noted on the Honda Racing logo on the dial and the ’20’ on the bezel, which represents Edifice’s 20th anniversary.
What’s a limited edition birthday watch without some gold to celebrate? The ECB-10HR has gold elements on the bezel’s inner edge, inset dial hand and the Edifice logo on the black dial. Flip the watch to the case back, and you’ll be greeted with the ‘20th Anniversary Edifice’ and Honda’s logo engraved on it.
The ECB-10HR can communicate with your mobile phone via low-energy Bluetooth, which as has a signal range of 2 metres. Functions of the Mobile Link include world time of over 300 cities, phone finder and 1/1000th second lap time records to name a few. The Casio’s water resistance is rated at 100m. The 107g watch comes with special package adorned with Honda’s logo.
