Since Honda Malaysia’s inception back in 2002, the company has gone on to sell 900,000 units of vehicles in the country and when you hit a milestone like that, you be sure to let the public know.
That’s exactly what they did; throw a two-day carnival over the 28-29 September 2019 weekend at the Bukit Jalil National Stadium. Just to sweeten the deal, they also gave away nine new Hondas.
Officially dubbed the “Road to 900,000 Unit Milestone Campaign Grand Finale,” it’s a bit of a mouthful so we’re just going to refer to it as the event. We’re certain you can keep up.
The event was open to the public with a fun-for-the-family vibe. Understandably, most of the attention was on the 380-feet-long Giant Water Slide but the picturesque Insta-Luminous displays, virtual reality games and army of food trucks on hand got their fair share of attention as well.
If you wanted to experience the brand more, Honda’s Advanced Technology through interactive game activities such as the Sport Hybrid i-DCD X-ray Scanner or try their hand at the Sport Hybrid i-DCD and VTEC Turbocharged Game Tower.
For nine lucky individuals however, the highlight of the event was receiving the mock keys to their new Honda models.
Prior to the event, Honda Malaysia had already announced the first two of nine that claimed the Civic and HR-V from the pool. The remaining seven were announced during the event and drove home the rest of the field comprising a BR-V, Accord, Jazz, CR-V, an additional HR-V and two units of the City. All the nine vehicles given away were white in colour.

We’re very happy to reach such a significant milestone of 900,000th sales unit since our establishment in 2002 and we want to celebrate it with all Malaysians,” said Honda Malaysia Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Toichi Ishiyama.
Expect the 1,000,000th unit sales target party to be even grander so stay tuned for that.
