2020 is closely coming to an end and we know all of us are hoping for a better (and COVID-19 free) year in 2021.
Well to cap things off this year on a brighter note, two of our local celebrities have been listed in Forbes Magazine’s ‘Asia’s 100 Digital Stars’
The list includes 100 Asian Pacific celebrities that are very influential on social media.
From One Queen To Another
Two Malaysians have made the list and they are none other than our Queen of Pop, Dato’ Sri Siti Nurhaliza and Forbes 30 Under 30 alumni, Neelofa.
According to Forbes
, the list, which is unranked, shines the spotlight on “celebrities who, despite cancelled physical events and activities, managed to remain active and relevant, largely by using social media to interact with their fans, raise awareness and inspire optimism.”
“Many also used their influence to help worthy causes, especially those with a COVID-19 focus.”
The magazine highlights Siti’s achievements this year, which includes launching her 18th studio album, Manifesta SITI 2020, and also running her halal-certified beauty business, SimplySiti.
As for TV host and entrepreneur, Neelofa, Forbes
says that she is the most-followed Malaysian celebrity on Instagram and had an overwhelmingly positive response when she announced that she will be wearing the niqab full time in October.
Other international A-listers who made the list also includes BLACKPINK, Hugh Jackman, Chris Hemsworth, Shah Rukh Khan, BTS, Rebel Wilson, and Donnie Yen.
Congrats to Tokti and Neelofa!
