It looks like the Korean wave may have just reached the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).
After South Korean actor Ma Dong-seok joined Marvel’s upcoming film ‘Eternals’, another K-star is about to make his mark in Hollywood.
From Itaewon to MCU
K-drama fans, those of you who’ve watched ‘Itaewon Class’ would definitely be familiar with its lead star, Park Seo Joon.
According to Korea Boo
, the 32-year-old has reportedly been casted for an undisclosed role in ‘Captain Marvel 2: The Marvels’.
Park will be leaving for the United States during the second half of 2021 for filming alongside Brie Larson.
His agency Awesome ENT has responded to the reports with “no comment”.
If this turns out to be true, he will be the second actor after Ma Dong-seok in the MCU.
The sequel will see Brie Larson and Teyonah Parris returning to the screen alongside new cast member, Iman Vellani, as Kamala Khan/Ms. Marvel.
‘The Marvels’ is set for premiere on 11 November 2022.
