And if the Wachowski siblings are not involved, Keanu Reeves may not be interested either.

The Matrix is one of the most successful movie franchises of all-time and Warner Bros. has reportedly decided to reboot the 1999 sci-fi classic.
Unfortunately, there’s one thing that The Matrix fans might not like about the reboot. According to The Hollywood Reporter who first broke the news, the Wachowski siblings - the original writers and directors of the trilogy - may not be part of the remake at this point in time.

Wait; there's more bad news.

Keanu Reeves, who played the lead role in the film that shot him straight to Hollywood’s A-list, also told Yahoo Movies recently that he would only return if the Wachowskis were involved. So, it looks like the chances of seeing Reeves play the unforgettable Neo again are very slim for now. (Nooo…)
Sources told The Hollywood Reporter that the studio is currently eyeing Zak Penn to write the reboot and Michael B. Jordan to star as the main character. Penn had previously contributed to a list of superhero movies, including X-Men: The Last Stand, The Avengers and The Incredible Hulk, just to name a few.
We’re not sure how the reboot will pan out since it is still in the early stages of development. But we certainly hope that the new team would do justice to the trilogy because, you know, The Matrix is only one of the most unique, original and iconic films in Hollywood.

No pressure, guys.
While we wait patiently for the planning to unfold, let’s look back at some of the best scenes from The Matrix, shall we?
