We know everyone around the world is anxiously waiting for one movie that took 10 years to make – it’s none other than 'Avengers
: Infinity War
The mega-superhero movie features almost every Marvel superhero you can ever imagine, so not only will it be an epic movie, it’s also history in the making.
Can you guys believe it; all the characters crossing paths in one movie?! *breathing intensifies*
So, it’s safe to say that everyone has Avengers
fever right now, including in Malaysia.
On Tuesday night, just days before the premiere of the movie in Malaysia, eagle-eyed Marvel fans spotted something bizarre at Menara TM, Bangsar
logo can be seen at the top of the tower, beaming so brightly illuminating the sky.
Has Tony Stark bought over TM’s tower? Or have The Avengers
found a new HQ right smack in the heart of Kuala Lumpur? Most importantly, was this a sign that Thanos has reached our shores?
A lot of exciting questions played in our minds. We don’t know who was responsible for it or how it happened, but what we do know is that it’s a super smart marketing ploy.
Images of the tower instantly went viral overnight.
Like, how cool does the tower look? Super mega infinity cool, of course! And the tower chosen to project the logo totally makes sense as it almost mirrors the original Stark/Avengers Tower as seen in the movies.
Some Malaysians also took the opportunity to joke about the coming election and also Thanos' whereabouts.
Prior to the Avengers’
logo making its debut in Malaysia, the Burj Khalifa in Dubai also projected some cool 'Avengers'
stuff on its tower too.
However, they did not have the Avengers’
logo but instead, a poster of the movie with a countdown timer until the premiere of the movie.
So, Malaysia still win OK, because ours looked like the real thing.
Did you manage to catch a glimpse of the TM tower with the Avengers’
logo last night? If you did, don’t forget to share your photos with us in the comments section!
If you haven't, we heard that the light display will be on until 29 April 2018.
'Avengers: Infinity War'
premieres in cinemas nationwide on 25 April 2018.
