Hold Your Arrows, A 'Hunger Games' Prequel Novel Is Coming Next Year
All hail fans of 'The Hunger Games', we have exciting news for you!

No, there is not going to be another movie, at least not yet.

To everyone's surprise, the author of the famous trilogy, Suzanne Collins revealed that there is another book coming soon.

But instead of continuing the story from where it was left off, the untitled book will be a prequel story set 64 years before the events of the Hunger Games!

The book is set for release on 19 May 2020, so we're only less than one year away from being transported to Panem once again.

"With this book, I wanted to explore the state of nature, who we are, and what we perceive is required for our survival," Collins said in a statement.

"The reconstruction period 10 years after the war, commonly referred to as the Dark Days – as the country of Panem struggles back to its feet – provides fertile ground for characters to grapple with these questions and thereby define their views of humanity."

Have you read all three books?
If you know nothing about 'The Hunger Games', well, where have you been?

The story in the original books and movies is set in a post-apocalyptic dystopia where young people are forced to fight and kill each other for survival and their whole ordeal is aired on live television.

Let's do a quick recap: the first rebellion led by District 13 had failed and it was completely wiped out.

The other defeated districts were then put under the Treaty of Treason, which founded the annual Hunger Games to punish those who rebell against the Capitol.

Youth from 12 districts are chosen as tributes and forced to fight each other to death. Only one winner would remain and live in luxury, winning food supply for their district for one year.

So brutal.
That's all the back story we know so far from the three books. Now we can't wait to find out more about the events that led to the very first Hunger Games!
