This New Local Movie About MMA Has Malaysians Buzzing Online
Over the years, we've been treated to some really good local movies.

We had 'Polis Evo 2', a bonafide action movie. Then, we had 'Misteri Dilaila', a psychological thriller that made Malaysian box office history for having two different endings

And who could forget 'PASKAL: The Movie', a film based on one of the world's most elite military units

With the release of such great quality movies, the local film industry has come a long way.

And now, the release of a brand new local film has got the internet buzzing: 'Sangkar'.

'Sangkar' - a movie co-produced by four leading entertainment partners in Malaysia; Primeworks Studios, Astro Shaw, Infinitus Gold, and mm2 Entertainment - tells the story of the story of two MMA fighters, Adam and Johan, who get into a fight outside the ring, resulting in Johan getting seriously injured.

Filled with guilt, Adam attempts to redeem himself by resorting to underground fights for monetary gains, which he chooses to share with Johan's family.

On the other hand, Johan faces his own struggles and continues to fight for his health for the sake of his family.

The movie boasts an all-star cast of Zul Ariffin, Remy Ishak and Mira Filzah, as well as several pro MMA fighters such as James “Sledgehammer” McSweeney, Saiful Merican and Peter Hugh Davis.

With the big names attached to the film, plus the fact that 'Sangkar' is Malaysia's first ever MMA film, it's no doubt that expectations are high for the movie.

And judging by how Malaysians have reacted on social media, we believe 'Sangkar' will turn into yet another hit:
'Sangkar' is now showing in cinemas nationwide, so if you haven't seen it yet, what are you waiting for?

Go grab some buddies and watch two very fit men with serious abs kick some serious butts.
