If you grew up watching Studio Ghibli or Hayao Miyazaki films and would love to take a trip down memory lane once again, you’re in for a magical treat.
Netflix has recently announced that they will be bringing in 21 iconic and legendary films from Studio Ghibli for viewers across Asia Pacific, Europe, Middle East, Africa and Latin America.
Fans can expect a Studio Ghibli binge-watching marathon starting 1 February 2020.
Full dubs and subtitles
Don’t understand Japanese? Fret not, because the films will be subtitled in 28 languages, and dubbed in up to 20 languages.
But just a head’s up in case you expect to find every movie on Netflix’s catalogue by February but left feeling disappointed: all 21 films will be released in batches each month on 1 February, 1 March, and 1 April.
“In this day and age, there are various great ways a film can reach audiences. We’ve listened to our fans and have made the definitive decision to stream our film catalogue. We hope people around the world will discover the world of Studio Ghibli through this experience,” Studio Ghibli producer Toshio Suzuki said.
