No one is safe including Hanks.

The COVID-19 situation has reached a scary new level as the World Health Organization has officially declared it as a pandemic.

More and more people have succumbed to the Coronavirus, and the latest person to be infected by it is someone we all know and admire – Tom Hanks.

Isolated from the public

The ‘Toy Story’ star recently revealed on his Twitter and Instagram account that he and his wife Rita Wilson were tested positive for COVID-19 after they initially felt a bit tired and had some colds and body aches.

Hanks and his wife were tested in Australia and are currently being isolated from the public.

Apparently, he has been in Australia – New South Wales, specifically - for the past few days as they are about to begin filming for a new film about Elvis Presley.

Hanks will play the role of Presley’s manager, Colonel Tom Parker, and the film will be directed by Baz Luhrmann.

No truer words have been spoken.
No news yet if anyone else in the production are also affected by the Coronavirus.

Fans and celebrity friends have sent well wishes to Hanks and his wife and hope that they’ll recover soon.

Speedy recovery, Tom and Rita! Remember to always wear a mask, wash your hands, and carry a hand sanitiser everywhere, OK, guys?
