Back in 2016, the Korean zombie-thriller ‘Train To Busan’ became a worldwide success.
This prompted fans to ask for a sequel, and surely enough, their wish was granted and another wave of zombie apocalypse will be happening in 2020.
Gory, flesh-eating zombies
After four years, the long-anticipated trailer for the sequel of ‘Train To Busan’ titled ‘Peninsula’ is finally here.
Although this film is considered as a sequel to the original, none of its original cast members will be returning.
‘Peninsula’ will, instead, center around Jung-seok, a former soldier who was ordered to return to the devastated Korean peninsula for a special mission.
The sequel will definitely be out this year but there have been conflicting reports of whether it’ll be released in July or August 2020.
Either way, fans can definitely catch the zombie apocalypse this year and let’s hope the premiere will not be postponed as well due to the on going COVID-19 pandemic.
Since we’re all home due to the Movement Control Order, maybe it’s best that we rewatch ‘Train To Busan’ to get in the mood of the upcoming sequel.
