After almost a week of extensive search, the police have found the body of 'Glee' star Naya Rivera.
reported that divers combing Lake Piru, where she was reported missing, using sonar equipment found the body on Monday (13 July).
The 33-year-old was feared drowned after going missing while on a boat ride with her four year-old son last Wednesday (9 July).
No foul play
Sheriff Bill Ayub of the Ventura County Sheriff Department said authorities were confident were "confident" that the body they found was that of Rivera.
There was no indication of foul play or suicide, Ayub added.
Her son, Josey, had earlier told police that they had gone swimming, but Rivera never returned. Josey was later found by another boater floating alone on the rented boat about three hours later.
Josey had reported seen her mother "disappear beneath the water".
After a search-and-rescue operation did not find any trace of Rivera, the police moved to a search-and-recovery mission, using side-scanning sonar, divers, remote controlled submarines, helicopters and sniffer dogs to search for her body.
It took almost one week, but the authorities have finally found her body.
Rest in peace, Naya Rivera.
