Hollywood A-Lister Brad Pitt Is Reportedly In Talks To Play MCU's Version Of Superman
The Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) is slowly becoming a place where Hollywood A-listers unite.

The 'Avengers' saga saw the participation of megastars such as Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr, Scarlett Johansson and Jeremy Renner.

For their next phase, the MCU has tied up Angelina Jolie for a role in 'The Eternals', with 'John Wick' actor Keanu Reeves rumoured to be joining the MCU as well.

And just when we thought Marvel Studios is done star-hunting, this piece of news came out faster than Thanos could snap his fingers.

From bad guy to good guy

According to entertainment site We Got This Covered, the multi-billion production house is reportedly eyeing Brad Pitt for a role in a future Marvel movie.

And if the report is indeed true, the 56-year-old could play a superhero named Hyperion.

The report also states that Marvel Studios has been trying to cast the 'World War Z' star for a while now, with a rumour saying that he was tapped to play a major villain to fill the hole left behind by Thanos.

Good fit for the MCU?
However, the president of Marvel Studios, Kevin Feige, has reportedly changed his mind, and they are now considering casting Pitt to play the character that is essentially Marvel's version of Superman.

Details are scarce at the moment, but this report suggests that the Oscar-winning actor could appear as Hyperion in 'Captain Marvel 2', which is scheduled to release in 2022.

Who exactly is Hyperion?

Simply put, Hyperion is the MCU version of DC's iconic character.

He made his debut in 'The Avengers #69 (Oct. 1969)', and was created by writer Roy Thomas and artist Sal Buscema.

Despite having many origin stories over the decades, Hyperion is originally an Eternal, a race of god-like superheroes tasked to defend Earth.

Same same, but different.
Just like Superman, Hyperion posseses superhuman strength and stamina, speed, durability and yes, even flight.

And just like the Man of Steel, Hyperion is also the leader of his own team called Squadron Supreme, which, to be honest, also resembles Superman's Justice League.

We guess original ideas are pretty hard to come by when you're a comic book writer, huh?

What do you guys think? Do you think Brad Pitt should join the MCU?
