This Is The Way: NASA Astronauts Spotted Bringing Along Baby Yoda To Space
We can't tell you how nerve-racking it is to fly into space (because we've never flown into space before), but we reckon that it is extremely terrifying.

So, we won't blame the astronauts for wanting to hold on to something during lift off.

And judging by a video that has since gone viral on social media, they couldn't have found a more perfect 'companion'.

A useful companion

On Monday (16 October), four astronauts flew abroad the SpaceX Crew Dragon capsule spacecraft under NASA's Crew-1 mission.

However, what you probably don’t know is that Michael Hopkins, Victor Glover, Shannon Walker and Soichi Noguchi brought along a fifth passenger with them.

The fifth passenger is none other than the star of Disney+ series 'The Mandalorian': Baby Yoda.

Yep, that's right; the astronauts brought along a Baby Yoda plush toy with them on their ride to the International Space Station.

The cute little plush can be seen in live shots inside the capsule, as it awoke from its slumber when the Crew Dragon separated from its Falcon 9 rocket.

If that sighting didn't make you go 'awww' already, Baby Yoda then can be seen bobbing about inside the cabin and bumping into the four astronauts.

HOW CUTE IS THAT?!

In case you're wondering, there's a reason why the crew brought along a Baby Yoda plush to space.

On top of it being a cute space companion, stuffed toys are usually used as a 'zero-gravity indicator' to determine when the spacecraft is in orbit and has reached a microgravity environment.

So, when the cute stuffed toy begin to float around, chances are that you're already in space.

The previous few space missions also featured adorable companions:

We are sure Baby Yoda enjoyed the ride to space! After all, he did travel a lot in 'The Mandalorian'.

This is the way.
