Sabahans Can Now Travel To The Rest Of The Country Without Going Through 14-Day Quarantine
In yet another update to the ever-changing rules for the Movement Control Order (MCO) areas, the government has decided to allow travellers from Sabah to travel to the rest of the country without having to go through a 14-day quarantine period.

The Health Ministry tweeted a series of tweets announcing the latest development.

Only swab tests needed

If you're travelling from Sabah to any other parts of the country, all you need to do now is get a swab test three days before your travels to ensure that you're not COVID-19 positive.

Quoting Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Adham Baba, the tweets explained that those with symptoms and those who tested positive will not be allowed to travel but will be required to undergo treatment at hospitals.

He also said that those travelling out of Sabah would be required to:
  • undergo checks for fever and other symptoms,
  • present their COVID-19 swab test results,
  • use the MySejahtera App (compulsory)
All these are required upon landing at entrance points in Peninsular Malaysia, Sarawak and Labuan.

Netizens are not happy with the decision

Considering that the number of COVID-19 cases in Sabah, as well as many other states are still high, netizens are not happy with this news.

Is anyone else tired of trying to keep up with the ever-changing SOPs that don't even seem to make sense anymore?
