Can’t wait!

4 Things You Need To Know About Genting SkyWorlds Theme Park That’s Opening Soon In 2021
The long, excruciating wait for Malaysians is finally coming to an end.
After going through numerous changes and delays, Genting is finally opening their new outdoor theme park to Malaysians this year!
So, we know a lot of you have tonnes of burning questions like when exactly will they open, will there be themed rides from famous films and a lot more, but fret not, we’re here to help you answer them.

#1 When can I visit Genting SkyWorlds?

It's finally happening!
For years, many of us have been wondering the same thing. We see the park’s progress and some rumours here and there but nothing ever came into place. Well, now you can mark your calendars, as the theme park is set to open in Q2 of 2021, so you can expect their doors to be open around June or July. According to Resorts World Genting, they are now "putting the finishing touches" to the theme park. We can't wait!

#2 What kind of rides will there be?

Spot the rides.
Genting SkyWorlds will take visitors on a sky-high adventure through nine movie and adventure-inspired ‘worlds’ – Eagle Mountain, Central Park, Liberty Lane, Robots Rivet Town, Andromeda Base, Ice Age, Studio Plaza, Epic and Rio. It is said that the park size will be slightly smaller than Universal Studios Singapore at 26 acres, but that doesn't mean that the fun is any smaller though.

#3 Will there be movie-themed attractions?

Wonder how the rides will look like...
Despite all of the drama and lawsuits in the past, the answer is yes. The film-themed rides that were originally planned for the park have finally come to life. Genting SkyWorlds will incorporate several 20th Century Studios brands and IPs across its world-class rides and attractions including ‘Ice Age’, ‘Night at the Museum’, ‘Rio’ and ‘Planet of the Apes’, among others.

#4 Is there anything new we can expect?

Queuing up for long lines will be a thing of the past soon as Genting SkyWorld will be partnering with AliBaba to introduce virtual queue technology so guests can pre-book their spot on rides and attractions. The technology is similar to the ones that can be found in Disneyland and other international theme parks.

But what about food, which just happens to be the most important thing, especially for us Malaysians? Well, after a long day of going around in the park, customers can fill up their tummies with a plethora of food and beverage options plus themed restaurants in the theme park itself.
As for ticket prices, it will only be announced in the following months.
Now that everything’s set in stone, all that’s left for us to do is it to wait patiently for the next few months and pray that the number of COVID-19 cases will go down so that we can spend an entire day at the theme park!
