Back in 2019, fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) were stunned when it was announced that Natalie Portman will be returning to the 'Thor' franchise - as the female version of Thor!
Naturally, fans had a million and one questions: how would Jane Foster turn into Lady Thor? Will she now be a superhero? What will happen to our favourite second Chris? (come on, you know your favourite Chris is Evans)
While we still do not have the answer to all those questions, we at least know what Portman will look like as Lady Thor.
Lady Thor, reporting for duty
Several leaked images from what appears to be merchandise from 'Thor: Love And Thunder' have made their way online.
The merchandise in question was a T-shirt with a retro-ish print, which shows Jane Foster standing next to the mighty Thor (Chris Hemsworth) and Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson) in her full Lady Thor costume.
Here's the T-shirt:
According to entertainment site Cinemablend,
the principal photography for 'Thor: Love And Thunder' kicked off in late January, and they finished rolling cameras at the beginning of this month.
To celebrate the wrap, the crew members each receive some gifts to commomerate the achievement, and the T-shirt is reportedly one of the gifts.
One of the crew members shared the pictures on social media, but they were quickly deleted - but not before Twitter account Thor: Love and Thunder News
managed to save them.
Looking at the illustration on the T-shirt, it looks like Thor is back in shape (we'll miss you, Thicc Thor from 'Avengers: Endgame'), sporting a new armour and still wielding the Stormbreaker.
Most interestingly, however, is the fact that Jane Foster can be seen wielding the Mjolnir, which has mysteriously reformed after it was destroyed by Hela in 'Thor: Ragnarok'.
While it's not a hundred percent that this is what Portman will look like as Lady Thor until Marvel decides to officially release images of Portman in full costume, but her appearance remains faithful to the comics.
We still do not know how or under what circumstances that Jane Foster was forced to become Lady Thor, but Thor would need as much help as he can get when he faces off against the menacing Gorr the God Butcher, played by Christian Bale.
'Thor: Love And Thunder' is set to be released in cinemas on 6 May 2022.
We can't wait!
