Looking for a good movie to watch over the weekend?
Look no further; you've come to the right place.
'The Garden Of Evening Mists' is the latest Malaysian-made movie to hit the silver screen.
Adapted from an award-winning novel of the same name, the movie follows Yun Ling, who travels to Cameron Highlands in search of a mysterious Japanese man, said to be the former royal gardener for the Japanese Emperor.
She wants the man named Nakamura Aritomo to help her build a Japanese garden for her sister, but soon, she finds herself falling in love with him.
Of course, as the movie was set during the Japanese Occupation, there are lots of obstacles for Yun Ling and Arimoto to overcome if they want to continue their love affair.
Directed by Tom Lin, the movie stars a bevy of award-winning actors, including Malaysia's very own Lee Sinje, Japanese actor Hiroshi Abe, Taiwanese actress Sylvia Chang, and British actors Julian Sands and David Oakes.
Moviegoers and critics alike have been raining praises on the movie, evident by its nine nominations in the 56th Golden Horse Awards.
