Actor and TV host Ashraf Sinclair has sadly passed away due to a heart attack, website Kompas and his wife’s manager have confirmed.
Ashraf reportedly died around 4am (local time) on Tuesday morning and has been taken to the MMC Kuningan Hospital.
Celebrities paid tribute
The ‘Gol dan Gincu’ star is the husband to popular Indonesian singer, Bunga Citra Lestari (also known as BCL), brother to Malaysia’s radio announcer Aishah Sinclair, and also Yuna’s brother-in-law.
The 40-year-old actor leaves behind his 36-year-old wife and 10-year-old son, Noah Sinclair.
Ashraf previously had a budding career in Malaysia before making the move to Indonesia permanently to pursue a new career there after marrying BCL on 8 November 2008.
Fans and fellow celebrity friends such as Neelofa, Luna Maya, Yasmin Hani, Pasha Ungu, and many more flocked both Ashraf’s and BCL’s Instagram page and left their condolences to the pair.

Ashraf’s untimely death is a big loss to the entertainment industry in Malaysia and Indonesia.
