Say It Isn’t So: Hilary Duff May Drop Out Of ‘Lizzie McGuire’ Reboot
We know it’s been a long wait for us ‘Lizzie McGuire’ fans, and it has so far been one heck of an emotional rollercoaster ever since Disney announced the revival of the series for their streaming site Disney+.

For a moment, everything was going according to plan: Hilary Duff, Adam Lamberg, and many more have signed on to reprise their roles. They’ve filmed the first two episodes of the new series.

Our fave family is back.
However, things suddenly took a turn for the bad when it was announced that production for the new ‘Lizzie McGuire’ has come to a halt after its creator and showrunner, Terry Minsky, left the reboot.

Cast members and crew are left in limbo as the House of Mouse are in the midst of figuring things out and now, new reports have surface that’ll give nightmares to fans.

Duff is unhappy

According to Variety, the reboot may lose its main star, the 32-year-old Duff, if her camp and Disney can't reach a mutual understanding on a new showrunner.

“It is possible the show could still move forward if a new showrunner is able to balance the desires of both Duff and Disney, but that appears increasingly unlikely, sources with knowledge of the show indicate,” Variety reported.

The website also quoted sources as saying that Duff is not too happy with the firing of Minsky, and she recently posted several cryptic Instagram stories that hint at he displeasure.

Duff is not happy.
Even so, Disney has denied that the show will be ultimately cancelled amidst the uncertainty surrounding it.

“We paused production on ‘Lizzie McGuire’ a few weeks ago to allow time for some creative re-development,” Disney said.

For now, production of the series remains halted, and the crew and cast are still waiting for the outcome of the impasse.

We really hope that things pan out, because we really can't wait to catch our favourite childhood bae on the small screen again.
