Halal vs haram soju.

We know a lot of you out there are K-drama fans. But how would you elevate your fandom experience?

Some idolise the South Korean actors or actresses, some create fan pages, but this guy decided to make his own version of halal soju after watching a couple of K-dramas.

According to Kompas, the man known as Sovi has created halal soju by modifying the drink’s original ingredients and method of preparation.

The drink has been renamed to Mojiso Korean Sparkling Water.

“Mojiso isn’t like the soju found in Korea. The ingredients are 100 per cent different which makes it halal,” the drink connoisseur told the Indonesian portal.

Original soju normally contains 17-20 per cent alcohol and is made using rice, wheat, and potatoes.

Sovi added that the idea of a halal soju came to him after watching some K-dramas.

“I’ve tried a lot of halal Korean food, but I’ve never tried its drinks.”

What's your flavour?
Mojiso is now available in a few flavours – yogurt, lychee, green tea, strawberry and are sold exclusively online at Warung Mini Ummik Project.

The drinks are sold in a 360ml green bottle that resembles the soju in South Korea and are sold for 45,000 Rupiah (RM12.80) per bottle.

So, would you try this halal version of soju?
