A lot has happened in the Malaysian music scene over the years. We've had our boom of pop, punk, rock, and hip-hop, and over the years, names have come and gone. A few names stand out throughout these times; bands like OAG, Bunkface, Too Phat, and Estranged are probably familiar to a few of us and some other names like Nakedbreed and Disagree strike lesser chords. Though bands come and go, there is never a shortage of new blood vying for mainstream glory and sometimes, for the love of music, musicians reinvent themselves to go at it all over again.

This is Toko Kilat's story. Edwin Raj, the lead singer of They Will Kill Us All; Irfan Iskandar, the drummer from Bittersweet; and Singaporeans Redzuan 'Wan' Hussin and Khairil Shah, the bassist and lead guitarist of The Moods respectively, got together to form a super band to take another shot at the music industry and they're making their presence known, one gig at a time. We've published part one of their journey on the road to Good Vibes and we're done with part two. Want to know what it takes to be in the music industry in Malaysia? Watch the two parts below:

Part 2:

You can listen to their first single "Pemacu Api" on Spotify or their YouTube page here. Stay in touch with the band on their Facebook page for the latest updates on their gigs and upcoming album.
