If you’re a makeup junkie, you must have heard of the Beauty Blender
, or you probably already have one sitting on your vanity.
For those who don’t know, the beauty blender is essentially a cosmetic sponge applicator that is very useful for applying any sort of base makeup product, whether it is foundation, concealer, BB cream or powder.
Due to the natural and flawless finish it creates, beauty blenders have become an important part in many women’s daily makeup routine.
However, the beauty blender is not exactly a cheap product to own. The original Beauty Blender retails for RM99 at Sephora Malaysia
We know, we know. Almost RM100 for a sponge?! We hear you.
Lately, many companies have come up with similar products to rival the original beauty blender. Others have also resorted to regular household items as a more affordable option.
But one particular beauty vlogger has taken it to a whole new level by introducing the hard-boiled egg method.
Yup. Hard-boiled egg!
Esther Gbudje, who hails from London, posted a video tutorial on Instagram demonstrating how she applied foundation with an actual boiled egg.
And by the looks of it, it actually worked pretty well!
So what do you think about this ‘new’ beauty tool? Would you try it for yourselves?
If using food as a beauty tool is a bit too much for you, here are some other bizarre items you can explore to replace the popular makeup tool (if you dare):
2. Bra insert
3. Kitchen sponge
