We don't understand high fashion.
Hey, remember these past couple of years where high-end fashion brands decided to launch everyday products but with not-so-everyday price tags?
We've got Balenciaga's £1,670 (RM7,900) Ikea-inspired shopping bag
, Zara's £70 (RM380) grandpa sarong
and of course, Chanel's USD1,300 (RM5,732) boomerang
By then, you probably thought, "There's no way other fashion brands can top that".
Oh boy, you're so wrong.
American fashion house Calvin Klein has recently launched an item that we're pretty sure those atas
aunties will go crazy over: a pair of pink dishwashing gloves.
The glove, called the Calvin Klein “Rose” pink rubber gloves, is designed by famed Belgian fashion designer Raf Simons.
It made its debut in Calvin Klein's recent 205 W39NYC fashion show.
Like its name suggests, the gloves are rose pink in colour (duh!) and made of 100 per cent synthetic rubber - the same material used to make the normal dishwashing gloves which you can buy at Daiso for only RM5.30.
But in case your friends mistake them for those Daiso gloves (the nerve!), a white 'CALVIN KLEIN 205W39NYC' motif on the cuffs will tell them otherwise.
The gloves are available for sale on SSENSE
. The price tag? A cool USD390 (RM1,520)
High fashion, amirite?
