Remember when you were younger, you spent hours and hours a day playing video games like 'Super Mario' and 'Mario Kart'?
Well, you could soon be part of your favourite Nintendo video games - in real life!
Be like Mario
The 2020 Olympics Games in Japan will also see the grand opening of the Super Nintendo World
According to a report by Channel News Asia
, this brand new theme park will be housed in Universal Studios Japan (USJ) in Osaka.
Not only that, the Super Nintendo World will be developed with the help of Super Mario creator Shigeru Miyamoto.
The report said the park’s visitors will be given a wristband called the Power Up Band that works with a smartphone app.
With the band and the app, you'll explore the park and hit Question Blocks, just like Mario, and collect coins. You will then be ranked by the total number of coins you manage to collect.
Each band is said to represent different characters visitors get to choose from, and the park itself was said to replicate classic Nintendo game themes, revolving around a mission to recover a golden mushroom stolen by protagonist Bowser Jr.
Fans may also recognise familiar game locations such as the Mushroom Kingdom, Mario Kart, Peach’s Castle and Bowser’s Fortress.
Sounds extremely fun, no? Here’s more good news for you gamers.
Super Nintendo World is also expected to be opened in other Universal theme parks across the world, including the one in Hollywood, Orlando and Singapore!
We are so excited and we can't wait!
