Joking only ya.

Durex Singapore recently put up a post on its Facebook page that tickled many netizens.

The brand jokingly suggested that condoms can be used as “finger gloves” in lifts to protect against Covid-19.

According to a report by Malay Mail, a post on Durex Singapore’s Facebook page showed a series of how-to pictures where an individual was pictured opening a condom package, slipping it onto the index finger, pressing a lift button, and then disposing of the rubber sheath.

It's a joke.

“Here’s an idea a fan of ours gave to us, so we thought it would be good to do a step-by-step on how you can stay protected with Durex,” wrote Durex on the post.

Netizens were tickled by the idea.

“No wonder the lift button downstairs at my block is so lubricated,” wrote Malcolm Mal.

“Dear consumer, wear it on your head then you won’t need to wear a mask and goggles anymore. Perfect protection,” joked Jin Hui Lee.

Panic buying in Singapore

It was previously reported that Singaporeans were panic buying because of Covid-19.

Among the most popular items that were snapped up included instant noodles, toilet paper and condoms.

Of course this is only a joke but if you really want to avoid touching lift buttons etc with your finger / hand, use gloves lah!

Cheaper and less attention-seeking. 😜
