Game On: This Video Game Helped One Man Lose 9kg In 30 Days!

Video games are good for health?!

Need to lose weight, but heading to the gym sounds so dreary?

What if we told you that you could lose weight by just playing a video game?

Read on to unlock the next level of fitness.

A gamer from the Philippines revealed that the Ring Fit Adventure game by Nintendo Switch helped him lose 9kgs in just 30 days.

Gaming your fat away

According to a report by the New Straits Times, Migui Minaj said he went from 78kg to 69kg by playing the game for 25 minutes a day.

I play video games to lose weight.
The avid gamer also emphasised that a proper diet was also essential in maximising the benefits of the fitness game.

Sharing his experience on Facebook, Migui wrote: “30 days of Ring Fit Adventure! From overweight to normal weight!

“This Nintendo Ring Fit is very effective, especially if there is a right diet. I only play for 25 minutes and am so happy. Onwards to more victories in 2020.”

The report said Migui had been overweight for several years, and he tried everything to lose the weight, but nothing worked.

Until he tried Ring Fit Adventure, of course!

“I figured that Ring Fit Adventure might be a better motivator than the (other games). True enough, it did work!”

“The diet tips I would like to share is to cut carbs in your daily consumption. I usually stick with one cup of rice a day and no more meals after 7pm. Combining this with Ring Fit Adventure helped me reduce my numbers,” he was quoted as saying in the article.

Not a video game for just flexing your fingers

Ring Fit Adventure requires players to move on the spot and perform exercises such as squats, knee lifts, abdominal presses and others by using a special ring-shaped controller.

The control also records your estimated heart rate and calories burned.

Well, more motivation for you guys to play games and lose weight!
