In the midst of the Movement Control Order and the chaotic COVID-19 situation in the country, comes this piece of light-hearted news that we all could get behind.
Shell Malaysia probably employs hundreds if not thousands of new staff members each year, but their latest hire will melt your heart – a black cat.
The station's newest employee
Shell Malaysia Trading Managing Director Shairan Huzani, or also fondly known as Pak Cik Shell, recently shared a photo of him and a black cat wearing a red neck bandana on his Instagram account.
The cat, named HeiHei, has officially been promoted to Shell’s Chief Receptionist nationwide.
Shairan shared that the cat initially came to the petrol station with injuries and was severely malnourished.
One of the staff members took care of the cat until it recovered and it has been hanging around at Shell Jalan 222 Petaling Jaya ever since.
The cat even has its own Twitter account where you can be updated with more photos and videos.
A video of HeiHei ‘running late for work’ has amassed over 138,000 views on Twitter.
So guys, if you happen to drop by the Shell petrol station in PJ, don’t forget to give HeiHei a pat or a hug.
