Let’s See If You Could Remember Your ‘Sweetest’ Memory Growing Up!

Malaysians who grew up in the 90’s have probably had all sorts of cool and fun candies and snacks growing up. For real though, we’ve had the best sweets back in those days. There’s the candy with a ring, the bubble gum that you could mix and get multiple new colours, there’s even an edible breath freshener spray!

Kids nowadays will never understand the sheer excitement that we had when we step into the neighborhood’s local convenience store and see all sorts of candies, chocolates and snacks assortment lining up on the shelves. That was our definition of pure joy!

If you grew up in the era, you should have no problem naming all those legendary childhood sweets in this quiz!

We’re feeling kinda sorry for kids nowadays for not being able to experience the junk food that we had growing up (Not really, go lah enjoy your iPad LOL). But it’s probably for good anyways. More and more people are having awareness about food safety and would literally vilify brands that promotes dangerous ingredients.

Nonetheless, June is the official candy month. So we get a one day license to eat candy! YAY. Not to be a party pooper but just keep in mind that former Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad reported that 3.6 million Malaysian are diabetic and 7 million adults are expected to have diabetes by 2025. So.. (This is totally a party-pooper move) but yeaaa better be safe than sorry??

Just eat moderately okay? Anything in life also you need to do moderately what.. Nothing good comes out of doing too much of something. Don’t be too caught up in trying to keep up with the trend that you neglect your health.

Any-hoo! Speaking about trends, Zher and Keanu unravels the reason behind crazy food trends in Malaysia with guest, C, the founder of 2D cafe in this episode of Hello I Have Issues Season 3 Episode 8: Food
