The issue of ministers wearing facemasks during government events or in public settings has been a hot debate throughout the on-going COVID-19 pandemic.
And one that never seems to shy away from the spotlight when it comes to this issue is Dato Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali, Minister of International Trade and Industry.
Over the weekend, the minister was at the National Congress event and proudly announced in front of the Prime Minister that he will be joining the Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia
. His application was accepted immediately.
His alliance with the political party did make headlines but what attracted netizens’ interest the most was the fact that he was wearing his facemask upside down.
It appears that the metal sheet that is supposed to go on his nose was seen on his chin instead.
Malaysians wasted no time to point out Azmin’s mistake and was baffled that he’s done it in front of thousands of people. Some even made fun of the incident.
Wearing a facemask can protect you and minimise the risk of contracting COVID-19 but wearing it wrongly may not be as effective as it should be.
You should always wear the coloured side out and to know if you’re wearing it correctly, the metal sheet should be on your nose bridge for you to shape it comfortably.
Apart from wearing a mask, please remember to practise social distacing and sanitise or wash your hands frequently.
