Nothing compares to the love a doggo has for its owners.

It is true when they say that we humans don't deserve dogs.

A loyal dog, who misses her owners so much, decided to walk home to look for them.

This is a very heartwarming story, but be warned: get some tissues ready, because it will make you cry.

A long and hard journey

Such a sweet, loyal doggo.
It all started when the owners of a cute one-year-old golden retriever named Ping An (which translates to 'safe and sound' in Mandarin) left her at a friend's place in Nantong while their house in Qidong City was going through renovations.

According to Ladbible, Ping An stayed at her caretaker's house for four months, but decided to sneak out one day to make her way back home.

Ping An went missing for two weeks, and both her caretaker and her owners worried about her fate.

It wasn't until a group of workers spotted Ping An looking tired in front of an office building some 100km away from Nantong!

As there was no scent to guide her, it was believed that the poor doggo relied on the memory of the car ride to find her way back to Qidong City.

She made it back safely.
The group said the loyal dog looked noticeably thin, limping and was suffering from bleeding paws.

They added that Ping An looked quite depressed after she was unable to find her owners, so the kind-hearted workers took her in and fed her.

They then took pictures of Ping An and shared them on the social media app WeChat, and within a day, they got in touch with her owners who instantly recognised the doggo.

The owners rushed to the site to collect Ping An, and a video clip showed them hugging the doggo while saying: “Ping An, you've worked hard. You just stay home from now on. [We] would never send you away."

Here's a video of the heart-warming reunion:

She was later brought to a vet for a thorough check up, and Ping An is reportedly said to be recovering well from her epic journey.

And boys and girls, this is the reason why we don't deserve dogs.

Rest well, Ping An! You did good!
