As the world is adapting to the new normal, it is pretty refreshing to see that a lot of eateries out there are adopting cashless payments.
Perhaps taking an inspiration from all these businesses, a government agency has also decided to go on the cashless payment route.
You can win prizes as well
All of the National Registration Department (NRD) offices nationwide are prepared to go cashless, The Star Online
According to a post on its official Facebook page, they are making Wednesdays their cashless payment day, so if you have any transactions to make, you would have to do it via cashless methods.
The NRD said the practice has already been implemented at all its state offices and Urban Transformation Centres (UTC) nationwide.
According to the department, you can make a payment using ATM MyDebit payments and Internet banking transactions for now.
Not just that, if you go cashless on Wednesdays, you'll also get a chance to win prizes as part of the department's National Level Cashless Payment Campaign 2020 contest.
The contest, in collaboration with Payments Network Malaysia Sdn Bhd (PayNet) and the Finance Ministry, will run until April 2021.
