Tips to follow if you're using public transportation
Other than ensuring that you keep the recommended distance and wear a mask, there are a few other things that could help you keep COVID-19 away while using public transportation.
- Always be aware of the most touched surfaces. Handles, bars, the back of chairs. These are areas that people touch often so if you happen to touch these surfaces, make sure you disinfect right after. Also conciously avoid touching your eyes, mouth and face.
- Keep away from "crowded" areas. This may be slightly leceh
but if you notice that a certain bus or train is too full, it may be best to just take the next one. Yes, you may be slightly late but remember that COVID-19 travels through respiratory droplets. People talking, coughing and breathing in a small space will only increase your chances of getting the virus.
- Wash you hands. Yes, drizzling on hand sanitisers also work but once you reach home, just wash your hands and make sure you do it thoroughly. Taking a shower right after you reach home is also a good idea.
Stay safe, everyone!
