Who remembers when Pepsi dressed up as Coca-Cola for a Halloween ad?

Another brand pulled off a similar trick this Halloween on a much larger scale and it’s pretty genius. A Burger King franchise located in New York decided to celebrate the spooky season by dressing up as the most terrifying thing it could ever imagine – the ghost of McDonald’s.
Draped in white sheets, the ghastly ghost faces even had McDonald’s trademark golden arches painted on instead of eyebrows, with a mischievous sign that read: “Booooo! Just kidding, we still flame-grill our burgers. Happy Halloween." (In case you didn’t know, McDonald’s fries its burgers.)
McDonald’s has since responded with a fairly neutral comeback. “Who wouldn’t want to masquerade as McDonald’s for Halloween when we are serving up treats like McCafe beverages, apple pies, and our World Famous Fries,” said McDonald’s spokesperson Terri Hickey.
Oh, come on McDonald’s. We’re sure you can do better than that. Maybe you should learn a thing or two about comebacks from Coca-Cola.
