It doesn't matter if you're young or old, big or small, Malaysian or mat salleh
; COVID-19 doesn't give a poop.
If you're not careful, it will infect (and kill you), as this popular vlogger found out the hard way.
Popular 'Mat Salleh Cari Makan' vlogger Rhys William, who captivated Malaysians with his food vlogs
and his fluency in the Bahasa Malaysia language, has tested positive for COVID-19.
But as the saying goes, 'when it rains, it pours', the poor 29-year-old also contracted dengue.
Yikes, that's so unlucky of him.
William shared via a post on his 'Mat Salleh Cari Makan'
Facebook account on Saturday (31 July) that he and his family tested positive for the virus.
"Fortunately, my wife and (3-year-old) son only have slight symptoms so it is safe for them to be quarantined at home," he wrote.
However, due to his symptoms which were more severe, as well as having contracted pneumonia (Category 3, COVID-19), he was forced to be hospitalised on doctor's advice.
"I also found out that I've tested positive for dengue," he further wrote.
William later shared that he had no idea where he had gotten the infection from, but he advised Malaysians to stay safe.
"COVID-19 is real guys. Please pray for me and my family. Stay safe semua
," he wrote.
You heard the man! Stay at home and don't go out if you don't have a valid reason to.
