The truth is out there.
On Thursday, the National Registration Department (NRD) revealed that the longest name ever registered with the Department contains a whopping 63 characters and 12 words.
The name, which was registered in 2017, was Princess Aura Nurr Emily Amara Auliya Bidadari Nawal El Zendra Mohd Sufian
(We obviously copied-and-pasted the name, because there's no way we're going to type it out word by word)
The girl's name has since gone viral, with many questioning the reason behind the absurdly long name when we posted the story on our Facebook page:
After a full day of circus (we thought it was longer, to be honest), the mother of the girl has finally come out to defend her decision to give her daughter 12 names.
In case you were wondering, no; the parents of the girl did not just pick out random words from the dictionary when naming their daughter.
The mother of Princess Aura, who goes by the name of 'Puteri Tujuh' on Facebook, revealed via a post on Thursday that the name came to her "from another realm" and it has her own meaning.
The woman further explained that she has dabbled in spiritual and paranormal activities for a long time and she had help from another dimension when she needed to name her daughter.
To further convince you that she has other-wordly connections, she signed off her Facebook post with the words 'Salam Praktisi Spiritual Malaysia/Indonesia'.
10/10 creeped out.
Apparently, Princess Aura isn't the only one with a long name in the, umm, Puteri family.
Puteri Tujuh further said in the post that Princess Aura's brothers also have very long names, with one being Prince Muhammad Ahmad Ashrafi Auliya Alfarezel Rasya Sidra
, you win, Puteri Tujuh!
Can you guys imagine Puteri Tujuh trying to stop Princess Aura Nurr Emily Amara Auliya Bidadari Nawal El Zendra Mohd Sufian and Prince Muhammad Ahmad Ashrafi Auliya Alfarezel Rasya Sidra from fighting by calling out their full names?
It's going to take forever!
