We know that a festival like Hari Raya is the perfect time to light up those fireworks, but make sure that yours are legal before you light one up.
Perak police has warned the public to strictly adhere to the ban on firecrackers and fireworks.
Perak police chief Datuk Razarudin Husain told Astro Awani
that in conjunction with the upcoming Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebrations, the police has prohibited any individuals from possessing, storing, using or selling firecrackers and fireworks.
However, before you turn that smile into a frown, there are a couple of firecrackers that you could buy that won't get you into trouble.
According to Razarudin, ‘Pop-Pop' and 'Happy Boom' are among the firecrackers allowed by the law, so feel free to stock up on those.
And if you're thinking of skirting the law, Razarudin said the police will take stern action against any individuals who possess, store, use or sell firecrackers without permission under Rules 74 to 78 of the Explosives Rules 1923.
Firecrack responsibly yeah, guys?
