Many of us secretly wish to live as long as we can, to see our grandchildren all grown up and do amazing things.
One person that is admired around the world for his sharp wit, quick thinking ways and leadership skills despite being at an advanced age of 94, is none other than our beloved Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad.
In fact, we all have seen several interviews where journalists often ask for the secret of his longevity.
Well, the good news is, Dr M may pen it down for our reference, the Malay Mail
“So many people have asked me this question that I feel obliged to write it down one day,” he said at the Asean Business and Investment Summit 2019.
He was also asked by the chairman of the Asean Business Advisory Council Arin Jira about the secret to his longevity and razor-sharp mind.
“To answer your question is very difficult. Practically I do not know how I survived.
“First thing is, don’t overeat. Eat to live, not live to eat. That’s very simple.
“And when the food is nice, stop eating. That is my mother’s advice to me,” he answered.
He also said he keeps his wit by keeping it active.
“Talk, sing, argue, debate, quarrel, activate your brain.
“Use your brain all your time, if you make use of your brain, then you will be able to answer questions like yours,” he was quoted as saying.
We have a feeling that if Dr M really plans to release a book, it will be sold out in no time.
