Sabah is a beautiful, beautiful place, and whoever's been there will agree with us.
The latest person who became a fan of the island is none other than Liverpool football legend, Luis Garcia.
Garcia, who was part of Liverpool’s 2005 Champions League winning squad, was in Kota Kinabalu for the Masters Football Asia’s ‘The Battle of Reds’ (BOTR) match on 20 November against Manchester United.
The News Straits Times
reported that Garcia was so mesmerised by Sabah that he dedicated an Instagram post to it.
In the post, he uploaded a picture of him visiting a local market in the state capital, with the caption: "Saya memiliki minggu yang baik
!! One of the best things of these trips are the beautiful places I found. Kota Kinabalu in the state of Sabah (Malaysia) with delicious food, beautiful markets and one of the best Sunsets I've ever seen. Have a great week guys !! #Morethanagame #OnTheMove #Malaysia".
Of course, Malaysians, who are known for our warm hospitality, welcomed him to Malaysia.
Many also asked him to visit other states in Malaysia, including Penang, Kelantan, Perak, Sarawak and Negri Sembilan.
Some even praised Garcia for using Bahasa Melayu in his post.
Well, it's good to know that the land of Sabah has gotten itself another fan.
