Malaysian Girl's Insane Goal Gets Approval From FIFA, US Goalkeeper Hope Solo

Please give her a trophy already!

If you're a football fan, you would probably have seen hundreds if not thousands of insane goals scored by some of the world's best footballers.

However, this one goal scored by an average Malaysian girl has gone viral online, so much so that even FIFA acknowledged it!

'Goal of the year'

Last Thursday (30 November), a group of Malaysian girls got together to have a friendly futsal match.

It was during that match when one of the girls, Nur Fadilah, scored this insane goal:
The nine-second clip shows Nur Fadilah doing the almost impossible, chipping the ball into the basketball hoop while trying to score a goal.

Thankfully for Nur Fadilah, the goal was caught on camera and she's now an instant internet celebrity.

“Today is in history. My first time scoring a goal like this, the best I’ve ever scored,” wrote Nur Fadilah.

Nur Fadilah's video has since gone viral, raking up more than 840,000 views and 26,500 re-tweets.

FIFA approves

Going viral is one thing, but getting an acknowledgement from the world's football authority? That's quite an accomplishment.

After the video went viral, the official Twitter page of the FIFA Women’s World Cup, @FIFAWWC, re-posted the video and even dubbed it 'goal of the year' material.
As one would expect, the tweet received tonnes of admiring messages, including one from arguably one of the most accomplished women football player ever, American goalkeeper Hope Solo.
Have we found a new Puskas award contender? We certainly think so!
