We know that our frontliners are working around the clock to treat patients infected with the coronavirus.
Some of them are so tied up with work that they don’t have time to eat proper meals or go grocery shopping.
Understanding this, our ever-caring Raja Permaisuri Agong, Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah, took it upon herself to make sure that the unsung heroes are well-fed and well take care of.
A meal from the heart
On Sunday (22 March), our queen lovingly prepared 'nasi berlauk' for the personnel working at the Sungai Buloh Hospital and the Crisis Preparedness and Response Centre (CPRC) at the Health Ministry in Putrajaya.
“Today, I cooked for the doctors, nurses and staff at Sg Buloh Hospital...may Allah bless and protect them, working hard for our country Malaysia..,” said the Raja Permaisuri Agong in her Instagram page.
According to her Instagram post, she said that the Sungai Buloh Hospital staff get to enjoy meals comprised of white rice, curry chicken, fried vegetables and omelette.
Meanwhile, the CPRC staff gets to enjoy her special “cheminahsayang fried rice” with sambal tumis bilis, as well as a muffin to go along with it.
Touched by the Queen's efforts, netizens flooded the post’s comment section to praise the Queen for helping out as much as she can during these tough times:
The ever-so-humble Queen responded to the sweet comments left behind by Malaysians by saying that it’s "the least she can do" for the brave frontliners:
Thank you, Tuanku, for always taking care of the rakyat
To the frontliners, we thank you too! Please be safe and hopefully, this will end soon.
