Before that, we'd like to thank our amazing courier men for their service during MCO!
As we are less than 10 days away until the end of the Movement Control Order (MCO), it seems that more and more areas have been declared as red zones by the government.
And if you are currently staying in those areas, you might be experiencing some delays in sending or receiving your parcels.
Local courier company J&T Express recently became the talk of the town after photos showing a few notes stating that they have stopped delivery in several red zone areas were shared online by netizens:
They’ve narrowed down the affected areas by postcodes, which include the red zones in Petaling Jaya, Kuala lumpur, Johor, Penang, Negeri Sembilan, and Pahang.
Many Malaysians have also shared that there have been delays in receiving their parcels, perhaps due to this temporary ban.
As online sellers and customers in affected areas are lamenting the fate of their parcels, J&T Express has finally come up with an official statement to address the issue.
“We would like to apologise for the misguided Red Zone information presented by our DP staffs. In order to merge the company’s customer centric service integration and social responsibility this period, we will update you with the latest-official information as soon as possible,” the company said.
“Our delivery service resumes. However, it is undeniable that Red Zone restrictions will cause a slight delay.”
So those staying in the red zone areas, you still can send and receive your parcels but there definitely will be delays in processing them.
