Only four districts remain as COVID-19 green zones in the whole of Peninsular Malaysia.
The districts are Yan in Kedah, Machang in Kelantan, Hulu Terengganu in Terengganu and Kampar in Perak.
The most recent updated infographic by the Ministry of Health shows a map of the Peninsular area almost fully covered in red, orange and yellow zones.
The data for the infographic is as of 12pm, 6 April.
There are still 25 green zones recorded in Sabah and Sarawak which is great news.
The zones are:
- Kapit, Asajaya, Baram, Bau, Belaga, Dalat, Daro, Julau, Kanowit, Lundu, Song, Saratok, Lubok Antu, Meradong, Pakan, Tatau and Selangau.
- Kota Marudu, Kudat, Nabawan, Pitas, Tenom, Kuala Penyu, Tongod and Beluran.
What do the zones mean?
MOH has been categorising the different districts in the country based on how many cases have been reported there. They are four different levels - red, orange, yellow and green. What they mean is:
Red - Districts that have 41 cases and above.
Orange - Districts that have between 20 to 40 cases.
Yellow - Districts that have between 1 to 19 cases.
Green - Districts with zero COVID-19 cases.
Three new COVID-19 red zones reported
COVID-19 numbers continue to rise especially in Peninsular Malaysia.
There are a total of 21 red zones in the country with three new districts reported today. The districts are Jasin with 42 cases, Putrajaya with 41 cases and Rembau with 41 cases.
The highest number of cases within a red zone area is Lembah Pantai with 386 cases.

Those living in orange zones should also be vigilant
The number of COVID-19 positive cases within the orange zone area are also slowly rising. The district with the highest number in the orange zone is in Sepang with 39 cases.
