COVID-19 Updates: States With Highest Case Increase, Red Zones And Other General Stats

COVID-19 statistics according to MOH.


Most of us have kind of lost count on what MCO day it is today but it is still important to keep updated with the latest COVID-19 trends.

So, here goes.

State update

The two states that continue to record the highest number of new cases are Selangor and Kuala Lumpur.

According to the latest statistics released by the Ministry of Health (MOH) as of 12pm, 12 April, Selangor recorded an additional 53 cases while Kuala Lumpur had 44 new cases.

Other significant increases were recorded in Johor (14 new cases) and Pahang (11 new cases)

Here's a list of all the states and their total confirmed COVID-19 cases.

The total of number of cases in the country stands at 4,683 with 76 deaths recorded.

Red, orange zones

The number of red zones have not increased since the day before but we now have an additional yellow zone in Kampar, Perak.

The red zone with the highest confirmed cases are Lembah Pantai with 496 cases followed by Hulu Langat (388 cases) and Petaling (356 cases).

Still best to be careful

It does not matter if you live in a red, orange, yellow or green zone, it is always best to take precautions especially when you leave your houses.

Continue to maintain social distance, wash your hands often, sneeze and cough into your elbow and wear a mask if you're not feeling well.
