Can’t wait to take your kids out because they have been stuck inside the house for too long?
Well, why not take them to the oldest zoo in the country?
Discounts for all
After being closed for almost three months, the Taiping Zoo and Night Safari has reopened its doors to visitors, according to a report by New Straits Times
What’s even more exciting is the fact that there will be a 20 per cent discount
for visitors who visit the zoo between 15 June and 15 July.
This has been confirmed by State Housing, Local Government and Tourism Committee chairman Datuk Nolee Ashilin Mohammed Radzi.
"Adult ticket will cost RM13 from RM16; child ticket will cost RM6 from RM8 for entering Taiping Zoo, while Night Safari entrance will only cost RM16 for adult and RM8 for child.
"The discount given will encourage more domestic visitors to visit one of the best zoos in the country after being closed for three months due to COVID-19 outbreak," she was quoted as saying.
However, do take note that while you are free to visit the zoo, the SOPs under the Recovery Movement Control Order (RMCO) still apply.
That means, visitors to the Zoo would be limited to 1,250 at any one time, and they are only allowed to sightsee inside the zoo for two or three hours.
So, let’s take the kids out and give them a breather!
